How To Make Blogger Blog HTTPS (SSL) Enabled For free


Yes! You read it right. Now you can use HTTPS (SSL) in your blogger blog without paying anything. Google started HTTPs support for its Blogger platform but now Google only support non custom domain blogs means if your blog using .blogspot domain name then you can use this service right now without any money.HTTPs stands Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure which is similar to HTTP wit encryption in extra.

What is SSL:

          SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and client – typically a web server and a browser or email server and mail client. SSL uses the cryptographic system that uses two keys to encrypt data.

How To Enable HTTPS For Your Blogger Blog For Free:

          This feature is already enabled for all the Blogger users. Those users who are using custom domain name, they need to wait for a while before they can take advantage of it. If you’ve blog with .blospot address, follow the below mentioned steps to enable HTTPS for your blog.

  1. Login to
  2. Open your Blogger dashboard.
  3. Go to Settings > Basic Option
  4. Right side, scroll to HTTPS Settings.
  5. Now choose “yes” from option dropdown menu and save it.

To disable HTTPS, follow the steps above and select No for HTTPS availability.

Note: If you set will disable to HTTPS, the visitors will be redirected to the unencrypted HTTP version of blog.

  • Now find “http” (Using CTRL+F Keyboard shortcut command) or search for “href=”.
  • Change all HTTP version URL to HTPS (Make sure external link support HTTPS).
  • Now save your blog template.
